No reason it couldn't be done for a discipline spanking, but there's been no need for it. I find that kind of scene can be pretty exciting in some scenarios, where she's restrained for punishment, obviously enhancing the feel of her helplessness and vulnerability, and the seriousness of the event. It doesn't fit in my preferred scenes, though, which resemble straightforward CP, where the one doing the spanking is an authority figure who wouldn't need to use bondage, nor would it be appropriate to do so.
