Who gets to decide when a spanking has been earned? When the earned spanking is given? Logically, it seems that the most effective time to give a spanking as a corrective action is immediately after the crime. All weekend, I knew I had earned myself a spanking, and had even been told by Herb that I was going to get one. At the same time, I just so happened to be craving one. Believe it or not, I had not gotten a spanking since my shoot with Clare! Occasionally, there are times when I want a spanking more than others, and though I usually do not do things intentionally to earn myself one, this seems to be when I “remind” Herb that I am due.
This afternoon, as I was getting out of the shower, it seemed he knew when I had stopped thinking about it, and caught me off guard. “It’s time for your spanking,” he said to me when I came downstairs to sit in front of the TV and comb my hair. He told me to go wait upstairs in my bedroom with my hands against the wall. I fussed a little bit, and he warned me not to make him repeat himself. At the time, I did not want a spanking anymore and began to get scared! He started spanking me with his hand, then gave me a good hair brushing and 30 licks with the strap, which he made me count. He took me by the hand and led me into his room where he told me to sit down in the closet. I could not sit at that point and had to lie on my side until he came to get me. A few minutes later, he opened the door, asked if I had learned my lesson, to which I told him yes. After that, he led me out and put me on the bed, blindfolded me and proceeded to do other naughty things.
It hurt a lot and left my bottom red and hot for quite a while, but as I look back on it, it was pretty hot. So, how was your Sunday?

I think that frequently a spanking is best given shortly after the infraction, but sometimes (just as with corner time), it is useful to give the miscreant time to think about her misdeeds.
And then of course, there is the case of general brattiness and cheek. Perhaps no one action deserves a spanking, but the combination adds up to a need for an attitude adjustment.

I know our moods swing as far as being more or less interested in spanking or emotionally ready for it. However, if a relationship is going to be modeled after authentic discipline, like parental or school corporal punishment, then the one in trouble doesn’t choose when it happens. The one with the authority to do so decides if it’s earned and what the consequences should be. The adult relationship usually doesn’t follow that model exactly, but when it does its authenticity can be satisfying. You’re experiencing some real control. You’re getting a real disciplinary spanking right now because he says it’s time. You’re not ready for a spanking, it’s more difficult than typical playing, and you’re emotions about it are more genuine. It really sounds like the entire ritual was an ordeal for you. In answer to your question: your Sunday was hotter than mine.

Hey Chloe sounds like you had a fun weekend. I don’t mean to bring up bad times but this post made me think of all the spankings you were told you were going to get a few months ago when you were so bad about updating your blog. You were warned and told many times you were going to get a spanking if you didn’t keep up with it. So did Herb ever keep up with his promises of all those spankings that you did so rightly deserve? I wonder what that might lead to for you.

It sounds as if Herb is exact;y rioght for you! A discipline spanking when you have gone off the boil andno longer want to be spanked suggests that it was right and proper discipline. Play spanking I reckon is by mutual consent for time: (consensual)discipline entirely at the decision of the spanker. But then, having given the discipline Herb showed that he still loves and cares for you by the blindfolded “other naughty things” which I hope you enjoyed all the more for having been prepared by the spanking….. I’ve thought about this too. If the bottom gets to choose whenever they should be spanked nd the top just caves in every time it’s no fun. Maybe, you can earn a spanking whenever you want but you only get your reward when it’s convenient… if that happens to be in the supermarket so be it
