Double jeopardy: No person shall be tried twice for the same offense.
What about double “spankardy”? All in favor of not being spanked for the same offense twice, raise your hand!
For example, if someone was told to do the dishes, and didn’t do them, they should get spanked. No disagreement there. But…. what if, the next day, they still weren’t done? Should they get spanked again? Hypothetically speaking, of course.
Do you ever have arrangements like this—getting spanked for every day that a rule is broken, even if it is wasn’t intentionally broken again? Or would you (spankee) even dare to not correct the situation immediately after a spanking?
P.S.– Someone is spamming the crap out of my blog, so while I figure out the anti-comment spam plug-ins, I have disabled comments on posts more than one month old.

In your example the dishes not being done AGAIN is not only another offense in it’s self, it is a repeat offense and therefor worse, deserving a higher penalty. This is why I don’t do DD with my cleaning habits and continual repeat offending, I would never be able to sit down again

Double spankardy? Very cute, Chloe.
Hypothetically speaking, if you were spanked once for not doing the dishes on Thursday, then that offense has been addressed. No reason to punish again for that. If they’re supposed to get done on Friday, then it should be clear that not doing them will result in more puniitve consequences, and probably more difficult ones at that, as the previous day’s lesson was, apparently, not effective. Whether the rule was intentionally broken, or you just forgot, it sounds like a real discipline problem requiring attention.
I would expect the situation to be corrected immediately after the spanking.

not only should you be spanked but the spanking should be more sever than the first one and if the task still have not been done a 3rd spanking should be given and than the task is to be done and than your spanked again for taken to long to do it

Oh yes: if you are spanked for chores not done the remedy (chores being done) should immediately fllow the spanking. Failure to do so (and leaving until the next day) is not only spankable again, but is surely an act of total defiance – which means another spanking! So in my book you woujld be in for “treble spankardy”. sorry Chloe!

Sorry Brat. I can see your logic and wouldn’t agree to a spanking for the same offense twice as in getting spanked for not doing the dishes, doing the dishes, and then getting spanked again anyway. But if it gets to the point that you need a spanking for not doing a chore, I would imagine that it would kind of imply that you ought to attend to it right away or in the very near future. Letting it slip by again is another spankable offense BUT I think the spanker should state that up front – spank, spank “get the dishes done now” or “these better be done by such-and-such a time” – just so there is no vagueness.
I’d give you a get out of spanking free card this time for the technicality, but after that, I’d say you should probably get the Palmolive out before you get more of the palm.

Tim- Aww, shucks!
Prefectdt- I wish I had a choice in that… but unfortunately I don’t get to make the rules!
Brett- Hehe, thanks. I thought it was cute too.
Don’t worry, my lessons are usually effective… Hypothetical situation, remember?
Punisherblues- Wow, that is pretty harsh!
Winchester- Triple spankardy…. Oh noes!!
Pixie- I totally agree with you, I’m just a professional brat. It’s what I do best!
