Whew!
I had intended on doing this a lot earlier, but between sleeping all day Monday, spending three hours in line to vote Tuesday (go Obama!!) and subsequently watching the returns, getting ready our big fundraiser at work, and catching up on everything else in life that had magically kept going despite the fact that I wasn’t, I guess time kind of slipped by.
You’re probably wondering why I slept all day Monday, aren’t you? Well, if you really want to know, you’re going to have to skip to the end of the story because that part didn’t happen first!
On Saturday morning at o’dark hundred, I left my house and bored a plane for Detroit. I had planned on getting a little shut eye on the plane, as I didn’t exactly go to bed early the night before, but that plan was abated by A. my inability to sleep on planes and B. the incessant “ding” that usually accompanies the fasten seatbelt sign or some other announcement at random intervals. Finally, just when I thought we were there, we touched the runway, then immediately climbed back up. Later, the pilot announced that we had been cleared for landing, but the plane in front of us was a little slow to leave, and he didn’t think there was quite enough clearance, so we circled for a while and finally landed for real. I turned on my cell phone and it said 11:00, nearly 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled arrival, then the pilot announced it was almost 12:00. I got off the plane so confused, not sure if we were early, late, or even what time zone we were in. (In case you wondered, we were early, even with our “incident.”)
In the end, it was all good. I got coffee (which they tried to give me for free, darn me for being honest!), and waited for a few minutes before I looked out the window and waiting for me were these two beach babes:
OK, so they had a little more on than bikinis, but I can assure you they are just as hot in person.
And Audrey has the cutest little northern accent… even though she said *I* was the one with the accent!
We went to the hotel where we would be shooting and unloaded all of our suitcases, then went out to lunch. We had decided on Applebee’s when in the corner of the parking lot, we spotted a cute little Italian restaurant, and decided to go check it out. Needless to say, we decided to stay. They gave us one of those loaves of bread with the dipping oil and spices, and then I had some fabulous chicken marsala.
After that, it was back to the hotel for the shoot. Once I was ready, I climbed under the covers and Abi and I attempted to sneak in a little nap to no avail. In a little bit, the photographer/ filmographer showed up and Audrey got us Red Bull to wake our bratty asses up. Hehehe. Wasn’t that nice?
Since we were already in bed, we decided to film a scene where Abi and I oversleep because we were out at a bar—I mean, we were at the library all night. Parts 1 and 2 are already up on SpankthatBrat.com, so head on over there to check it out ASAP.
I won’t spoil all the fun and tell you everything, but one of the scenes involved me, a wooden spoon, and Abi’s cute little bottom.
After a few hours of filming, it was time to re-fuel, so this time, we headed over to T.G.I. Friday’s. While we were waiting to be seated, Audrey told us about some PJs she had seen on her errands to Target. Abi and I looked at each other like little kids and begged her to let us go over there right then and look at them, and in her motherly tone she told us we could if we promised to only look at the PJs. We decided to wait until after dinner so we could take our time and enjoy the full Target experience. Hehehe.
I don’t need to tell you that we got the PJs along with a bunch of panties (on sale, of course). We went back to the hotel and immediately changed into our new PJs and did what we do best… we had an outrageous pillow fight, which, yes, was totally worth the spanking we got for it and for throwing pillows at Audrey.
Our next adventure was driving back to Lansing and finding the club (which was an adventure in itself). We finally made it, and our initiation happened in the parking lot, where a very tall, lean, woman with black hair got out of the car to reveal she was wearing 6-8” boots, a skirt so short it barely covered the essentials, and a bra-like top with a fishnet long sleeved shirt over it. Once we got in the club, we discovered *she* wasn’t really who we thought he was.
We hung out for a little while, shot some footage for the scene we had done earlier, and left. We all had a long day and needed our beauty rest for the next day. Plus, I was feeling a little nauseous, which I attributed to carsickness, which has been known to happen on long trips like that from Detroit to Lansing. I didn’t think too much of it, got back to the hotel, took a shower, took some Advil, and went to bed.
It wasn’t too much longer until I was up again… and again… and again. I’ll spare you the details of my adventures on the edge of the bed and the bathroom all night. Let’s just say if I was hydrated when I went to bed, I wasn’t the next morning. Once it got to be a reasonable hour, I texted Abi and Audrey, who immediately came and took me to the E.R. It was so bad that the receptionist in the waiting room gave me some drugs which got me feeling better fast. I got more drugs, an IV to rehydrate me, and sent on my way.
Abi tucked me into her bed, where I half-slept until it was time to go catch my flight. Thankfully, I made it through the flight without getting kicked off for being too sick and came home to a full array of chicken noodle soup, ginger ale, saltine crackers and Gatorade, courtesy of Herb.
Having experience in food service, I am always suspicious when a waitress is running around, hardly stopping to breathe, and shortly after the meal, someone gets sick. But when I got back to work on Tuesday, one of my co-workers and I compared stories, and it appears that wasn’t food poisoning at all. As it turns out, we had both gone to the E.R., gotten the same diagnosis, and had symptoms arise at the exact same time.
Many thanks to Audrey and Abi who took good care of me, when I was sick and when I wasn’t. They are not only beautiful, they are also wonderful people. So if you haven’t joined their site, go do it now. For pictures and more stories from the weekend, check out their blog, Spankthatbratblog.com.
I happy to report that I am feeling 100% better, and have officially been declared well enough to get spanked again. And yes, I have.
